Sign on: SIGN ON: Tell Sen. Collins that the Senate Must Hold Hearings on All War Policies
Dear Senator Collins,
President Trump's little “excursion” to Iran is costing more than a billion dollars a day and American soldiers are dying.
President Trump is making decisions about war by what he “feels in his bones”, devoid of strategies, goals, or an end game.
Meanwhile Secretary of Defense Hegseth is firing the nation's top Army Generals who disagree with him on this war, refusing to promote qualified candidates who are female or of color and, has asked America citizens to pray “every day, on bended knee” for a military victory in the Middle East “in the name of Jesus Christ.”
President Trump is threatening to commit war crimes by destroying all utilities necessary for a civilian population to live and sending US Troops to the area.
Many commentators are saying, “President Trump's Easter Truth Social post calls his mental health into serious question.”
Through all this, the Republican Senate remains stunningly silent, even on Trump's assertion of a 40% increase in the US Defense budget.
The citizens of Maine elected you to do your constitutional job—insist the Senate hold hearings and approve all war policies—no excuses.
Stand with citizens across Maine fighting to restore our Democracy.
